Club Services Club Service is regarded by many as one of the most important aspects of a good club. Without a well run club, little else can be accomplished by the other Avenues of Service. Club Service is directed toward the internal functioning of the club, while the other Avenues are focused outward toward the local community and the world beyond it.Attendance Committee Keeps records of individual club member's meeting attendance and make up meetings. Keeps the board and members informed on attendance problems, and recommends ways to improve attendance. Submits attendance reports to District 5000.Rotary Information, Classification, and Membership Development Committee Includes Rotary Information and new member classification, processing, indoctrination and development. Continue to use Past District Governor Clarence McIntosh's "Rotary Information" brochure as a guide for membership indoctrination. Continue to use the club bulletin, Windward Breeze, as a means of providing Rotary Information. In addition, include Rotary Information at the second weekly meeting during most months that have a Rotary Theme.Sergeants at Arms Assists the flue crew in their duties and assists the President in various ways during meetings.Fellowship We will plan for several fellowship events. The goal is to have at least one fellowship event every three months.Speakers Program Chair The mark of a good Rotary club is a good weekly speakers program. We have been fortunate during past years to have excellent speakers. This has been the result of having strong leadership to coordinate the program and excellent support from the membership in obtaining good speakers. We hope to continue again this year. (weekly). How I Got Here Talks On the first weekly meeting of each month, have a member give a "How I Got Here" talk. (monthly).Public Relations Establishes and maintains contact with the media and submits timely news releases concerning major club activities. Potential media-worthy activities include: Weinberg work project and donation of the $10,000 Weinberg grant, Service Above Self Award winner, Kailua Beach clean up, Employer of the Year Award and the joint Rotary Gives Thanks project with the Kaneohe Rotary Club. |
